One of Pittsburgh’s best-kept secrets. We were regulars here when we lived across the bridge, and pretty much everyone who has visited us so far has made a trip to this old-fashioned diner!

In the heart of the Strip District - the line moves faster than it seems and the wait is very worth it. Their menu includes breakfast classics, build-your-own omelettes/burritos, and shrimp & grits.

Another Lawrenceville spot, known for their sweet or savory crepes & waffles. We decided we were going to move to Pittsburgh from Detroit while sitting at one of their sidewalk tables.

A newer, casual spot up in the North Side of Pittsburgh - on the way out of town if you’re heading home from Buffalo. Their buttermilk biscuits & gravy are the best we’ve had in the city.

A cute craft cocktail bar in Lawrenceville with some of the best bartenders in town. They have a menu option called “Bartender’s Choice” where you give them a few of your preferences, and they make a drink to match.

Cozy Irish pub known for sporting events, offering an extensive beer and cocktail list, plus hot dogs (and sometimes pierogies). Best spot for a Guinness or whatever casual nightcap you’re feeling.

If you’re in the mood to venture over to the east end of town, one of our favorite spots is a tiki bar in Squirrel Hill. Extremely unique with fun, creative cocktails and sharable bites - you could even make dinner out of it.

The bar at the very top of the TRYP Hotel has some of the best views in the city. It’s super laid-back, great for drinks, and an easy place to spend an afternoon or evening - open til 11 PM.

Always a safe bet in a rust belt city like Pittsburgh. Our favorites are (in order of proximity to Lawrenceville): 11th Hour, Trace, Two Frays, Grist House, & Dancing Gnome.
